Lyon Landscape Architects is built upon relationships. We value the relationships with our clients, community, design team, and the environment. Our extensive portfolio includes educational facilities, parks and recreation, sports and athletic fields, public work, master planning, residential and commercial development, and environmental and mitigation design.

With offices in Tacoma, WA and Sun Valley, ID, we provide service and experience on regional, national and international levels. We work closely to maintain direct involvement and communication with our clients at all times. Our primary objectives are to ensure our projects are aesthetically pleasing, functional and are respectful of our client’s economics.

Moghan Lyon, PLA, ASLA, CLARB

PARTNER, LYON LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS

Moghan spent his first 10 years in landscape architecture working in the Seattle area on a mix of commercial, municipal and residential projects. Project scopes ranged from large to small, including hospital construction and renovation, senior living facilities, mixed use urban infill, parks, playfields, recreational facilities and large scale development projects. Up until January 2019, Moghan managed the Seattle office, before his move to Sun Valley, Idaho to expand his reach there. Moghan now devotes time working on projects in both offices. Moghan leads projects through its life cycle, from proposal development, site analysis, conceptual design and digital production of construction drawings and construction administration.

Moghan is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and its local chapters. He is licensed in Washington, Idaho and Montana. Moghan received his business degree from the University of San Diego and his landscape architecture degree from the University of Washington. He is a partner of Lyon Landscape Architects, LLC.

Moghan spends as much of his free time as possible mountain biking, skiing and playing outdoors with his wife Tracy, their young explorer of a son Griffin and two dogs Sammi and Leo.

ERIC J. WILLIAMS, PLA

MANAGING PARTNER, LYON LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS – WASHINGTON

Mr. Williams has over 20 years of experience in the landscape design and construction profession, encompassing the design and construction of more than 100 projects. His training includes landscape architecture, computer technology, and environmental sciences, with expertise in site inventory and analysis, site design, visual imaging, construction document production, cost estimates, project documents, and construction administration.

Mr. Williams has provided professional consulting services to a variety of public and private clients in the Pacific Northwest. Mr. Williams’ clients include school districts, park districts, cities, and numerous architects. His designs for main arterial improvements, traffic calming elements, plazas, intersections, urban renewal redevelopment plans, and revitalizing downtown retail cores focus on promotion of pedestrian-friendly circulation, enhanced city entrances, use of low-maintenance plant materials, unique irrigation techniques, and a plant palette that provides year-round interest.

Eric received his degree in Landscape Architecture from Washington State University in 1996. He is a member of the American Indian Council of Architects and Engineers. Eric is licensed in Washington and Oregon. He is a partner of Lyon Landscape Architects, LLC.

You can find Eric on the golf course or off-roading in his Jeep in the wilderness with his son Jonas.

Marty A. Lyon, PLA – Partner Emeritus

PARTNER EMERITUS, LYON LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS

Marty has been working and living in Hailey, Idaho for almost 20 years, both working both locally and on remote projects throughout the years. Marty recently made the decision to reduce his role and work exclusively in Sun Valley on passion projects.

Marty founded Marty A. Lyon, Landscape Architects in 1980, eventually becoming Lyon Landscape Architects in 2012. With 40 years of practice as a landscape architect in the Pacific Northwest and Rocky Mountains, Marty’s professional experience encompasses a broad range of projects, from master planning to site-specific landscape design for public, institutional and private clients. His extensive body of work includes projects throughout the United States and Asia. Marty’s experience includes community and regional parks, recreation and athletic facilities, school and college campuses, single and multi-family residential, commercial, community master planning, and private and public gardens.

Marty’s experience started in Pullman, earning a degree in Landscape Architecture from Washington State University. Marty is licensed in Washington and Idaho. He remains actively engaged in his community through volunteer work and community activism, having founded 100 Men Who Care in the Wood River Valley. 100 Men Who Care – Wood River Valley
